Cibie Headlamps

You want HCR. The HCRA versions have an integral parking lamp bulb mounted in the bottom of the headlight, which is not necessary for the Pantera because it already has parking lamps on the front end. Also, the HCRA parking lamp will not get power from the Pantera headlight wiring socket. You would need to do some splicing to get power to it, if you wanted the integral parking lamp feature.

The Cibies are GREAT headlights. I have them on my Mustang and plan to add them to my Pantera.

FWIW, I went with those same ebay headlights on my Pantera too, but I'm less than impressed with them. And, despite what the ebay listing said, they are NOT 'HID' headlights. They also have a blue European parking lamp bulb inside the housing in the lower half, but I didn't bother to hook it up.

Once I take care of a few more pressing issues with my car, I'm going to order the Cibies.

Mine were not advertised as HID. They came advertised as projector lens housing with Xenon bulbs. The bulbs were cheap blue tinted junk but I put Sylvania Silver Star bulbs in the housings and they put out some bright white light.

4744 came with Cibies when I bought it in 1976, but when my left one was taken out(Bulb and all)by a rock in '78, I put in this left bulb and lens from this Datsun 260Z GTU racer that I drove in the Daytona 24hrs and the Sebring 12hrs in 1978...
I changed the right bulb, too. but the lens for the right side was broken against the Daytona pit lane guardrail by Bob Bondurant, my boss/co-driver at that race...
I don't drive the Pantera much-especially at night, but when I do...
Even on "low beams"...Comin' or goin'... they will burn people's retinas..
High beams........They will start forest fires !

Which wattage of lights did you use. Seems like a lot of choices and I don't want to overload my stock system. Thanks

Absolutely regardless of which headlights you select, add in a relay kit before you turn it on! 100% of the voltage to the headlights and parking lights as-stock goes thru your headlight rocker switch. Even with all-stock lights, the switches melt! Rocker switches aren't cheap and original early ones with the lettering are unavailable- only the post-Ford era switches with international symbols are at the vendors.
