My tank is stained and discolored. Is it possible to clean or bleach the plastic bottle back to white?

I'd try some kettle/coffee pot descaler.
If you have the same Lucas unit that my UK GTS is fitted with then they are still made in the UK as many UK cars used them in the 70s.

I know that they are still available new. There is a guy that pops up on ebay once in awhile.
Mine is physically ok. It's just stained.
Even a new one will get dirty pretty soon.
If I can't clean it, I'll replace it but not yet.
The coffee pot stain remover sounds like a good idea. I'll try it.

Also, to remove mineral deposits and scale try soaking in a 50-50 solution of warm water and white vinegar then then scrub. Works for shower heads that spray in all directions and drip coffee makers too.

Another trick to help scrub the inside clean, I learned this working in a bar cleaning the coffe pots. Put a couple spoonfulls of salt in the reservoir, add ice (crushed works best but cubes will work). Swirl the ice/salt around the inside of the container. The ice acts as a carrier for the salt which acts as an abraisive inside the bottle. Made those coffe pots shine and I have used it on other containers with heavy deposits. Good Luck.
