I replaced all my gauges with cyberdyne gauges ( I installed a voltage gauge in place of the amp gauge). They seem to work fine when water temp. is below 170 degrees, but if the temp. rises above 170 degrees (approximately), my radiator fan kicks on which is normal (and good). Then all the gauges have odd readings: low voltage, flashing oil pressure (low), water temp gauge flashes HI.
I believe it has something to do with #12 fuse circuit that shows the fan relay and the power to the gauges on the same circuit. I think that when the fan comes on it pulls the voltage down on the gauges which therefore produces odd readings.
Any suggestions on what to do? Should I try to obtain power for the gauges from another circuit? If so, which circuit and how would you do this?
Thanks.
