Ah, yes, the infamous dash-removal technique! Actually, the dash comes out relatively easily, but you need not bother. The speedo & tach are each held in place with a cage-type thingy that is attached to the instrument back with three thumbscrews that ARE reachable. Take the thumbscrews off; do NOT try to remove the retainer cage. Just push the instrument right out the front of your dash. Once its out a ways, you can unplug the warning lights & the cable for the speedo. I'd do one instrument at a time for ease of reattachment as theres a LOT of wired back there. Once its out, you must then use a tiny straight-blade screwdriver to incrementally pry up the backside lip of the brass instrument bezel to not quite 90 degrees. A little more than halfway around will release the bezel from the case. The instrument itself has two more nuts holding the works in the case; removing them will release the innards into your hand. The indicator needle comes off with a firm pull on the round portion of the needle; real instrument shops have a gauge-needle puller tool that is foolproof. Your fingers are not and you risk detroying the needle or gauge if you're careless. Finally, the face is retained by two tiny screws. The face will not slip over the attached needle. Then you get to put it all back together again. I would check to see whats the price for sending your speedo & tach to your vendor & letting THEM do all this stuff. One must REALLY want to change the appearance of the Pantera's instruments to go thru this drill.....
