A Pontiac Fiero kit car, rebodied with a Chevy V-8 conversion.
There were Fiero rebody kits for a mini-Pantera and someone thinks this "upgraded" rebody kit warrants being called a De Tomaso.
Pretty obvious there is zero connection to the real De Tomaso.

Looks a lot better in black than red IMO..
Cool looking kit, but having a hard time seeing enough of a link to a Pantera to warrant calling it a DeTom'.
At least the chevy 350 is a cheap motor to rebuild after the nitros gets done hammering it to death.

It's interesting that the car in the pictures from the UK still has Alabama tags.

I measured my '87 Fiero and our '72 Pantera L. The Fiero is 1" taller and wider and about 2" longer than a Pantera, even with L bumpers. A Fiero Getrag 5-speed is good for about 350 bhp. Above that you measure its life in minutes of driving time. One of my autocross friends transplanted a 500 bhp SBC into one and even with Toronado CV axles (which fit), he had trouble finishing one 40-second-long run. Moser Eng. finally made him a pair of billet rear axle$$$..... then he started losing ring & pinion gears. Advice: use an automatic transaxle if you play this game.
