It's time to put on the rear emblems on my 72 Euro GTS. The "DeTomaso" and "Pantera" emblems seem to go in the usual places but are they exactly midway between the tail light and license plate opening and about halfway between the bumper and rear decklid? Also, the placement of the "GTS" emblem is somewhat in question. The Jan Norbye book shows an Italian GTS (pg 122) with the "GTS" under the "tera". Other sources show the "GTS" under the "Pan". The DeTomaso catalog also shows one example with the "GTS" emblem centered under the "Pantera" emblem. Anyone have a Euro GTS that can help out. I only want to drill one set of holes. Finally, anyone attached emblems without drilling holes?

[/Just checked it out. It contains very good information. However, while it clearly shows where the "GTS" goes in relation to the "Pantera" emblem, it appears the "DeTomaso" script is missing altogether from the other side of the rear panel. I can't imagine Mr. DeTomaso not putting his name on the car. Any thoughts?
Let me know if you want me to send you a picture of the back of my GT5-S... the photo is very clear, and shows the GTS script under "PAN". This is factory original, as the car is unrestored.

However, based on my knowledge of the factory, I'm not sure that there is one "correct" placement, and you could probably put it wherever you think it looks best.

Your Euro GTS was badged differently than the 148, or so, US GTS models. By the time the US GTS version came out, Ford was in a hissy fit with deTomaso and deleted the 'deTomaso' script from the rear panel. The photo at Chuck's site was probably one of these US GTS cars and they did only have 'Pantera' on the left and 'GTS' on the right.

Larry, that's certainly one way to solve the problem, but I am thankful for the badges, they answer the hundreds of people at car shows who want to know what it is or "Oh, so that's a Pantera". I don't mind spreading the word but sometimes I start to sound like a broken record.

Ok, I'm going with the right justified "GTS" under the "Pantera" script and retaining the "DeTomaso" script. Thanks everyone for your thoughts and opinions.
