Fuel Pump ?
Make sure all the wires in and out of the MSD are securely attached and the Rev limiter chip on the bottom is firmly seated.
But it sounds more like a fuel pump problem.
When my MSD went south, the car wouldn't even start until it was replaced. It could be heat build up in the MSD after it's running. Is the MSD getting real hot ?
