Folks,
A little bit of information came my way as a result of my buddies miseries,
2 new cam failures later his engine build was finally done and I have this bit of info to pass on. There is an additive Know as ZDDP that is being removed from oils as a result of more stringent pollution laws. It is an additive that helps prevent shear on the metal to metal parts in the engine, ie "cam". All without roller cams may want to visit this web site as it explains this problem better than I can!
