Due out in November, hopefully they do the story justice.

I am on the edge of my seat.
I'm really looking forward to seeing this one. Of course we all know the story but it will be cool to see it on the silver screen.
I cannot be the only one who thinks it should be Matthew Mcconaughey instead of Prius Driver Matt Damon.
I saw Ford v. Ferrari movie last night with John H Horsman, a friend of mine, who was Chief Engineer for JWAE. JWAE successfully campaigned the GT-40s at LeMans in 1968 and 1969, after Ford retired from the LeMans program.
John H, his wife Janet and my wife and I went out and saw the film.
When we went to the theatre, I cautioned John that no outbursts of laughter during the film would be tolerated!
It was quite an enjoyable, and exciting film. John, being associated with the GT-40 program as he was, said that he was impressed, and that it was a much better film than he was expecting. He gave it 1 ½ thumbs up (our of two)! I think that is pretty high praise.
He definitely stated that there was quite a bit of "Hollywood" in it, and he disagreed with the on-screen portrayal of Ken Miles - who (John stated) was completely dedicated to the Carrol Shelby programs, and wasn't (as portrayed in the film) in an on-again / off-again relationship with the Shelby. He also stated that Ken Miles was refined, well-bred, and articulate, and Ken was not the erratic character as portrayed in the film.
He also said that the actor who portrayed Phil Remington didn't look anything like him!
He also stated:
Anyway, it was great fun, and a great film.
Here's a few pictures of the event, and some backup material.
I may have to break my ten year absence from a movie theatre (after I saw Robert Downey Jr. in Sherlock Holmes in 2009, I promised myself never to go back again) and go see Ford vs. Ferrari. Sounds promising.
What about Beebe?
Seems impossible that he could have been even 2% of that much of a jerk.
Can't wait to see it!
For an excellent documentary on the 1966 LeMans race and the history of the Ford v Ferrari battle, watch "The 24 Hour War" on Netflix.

How cool is that? To actually have someone watch it with you who was a part of the story!!!
I took my 10 year old son to see it in IMAX yesterday. We enjoyed the Hollywood version. Glad to see that the movie is getting good reviews and attendance. It's the only thing out there that's not an animation or a reboot.
My wife, 12 year old daughter, and 13 year old son went to it yesterday. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. You could tell there was obviously some theatrical license taken but what a great and interesting history.

The following is an excerpt from John Wyer's book. I am sure John Wyer "moderated" his comments for posterity. The guy (Leo) sounds like he was a first-class ---- to me!
This isn't bad, except for the author not knowing the difference between a dragster and a sports car...

I saw the film too. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
I saw it last Saturday and wonder how you would rate it compared to the following Hollywood inspired NON - Documentary Films: Stock Car and Indy Films need not apply here.
Grand Prix
Le Mans
Rush
The Racers
I saw the film as well and really enjoyed it. I think it resonates with most auto fans and more so with ones that know more of the story. Yes Hollywood changes a things, but overall I would say it follows the real story much closer than a lot of other stories that are listed as "Based on" or "Inspired by true events." My 10 year old son also enjoyed it which I think shows it will hold peoples attention if a 10 year old can sit through a movie that is over 2hrs long.
