Camber is held in your suspension with two bolts in tension on slotted holes. A curb bump, a small pothole or even hard cornering may cause the adjustment to move. Depends to a large extent on how you drive. For someone that drives normally, the stock setup will last quite a while. For someone who drives aggressively or in competition such as open tracks or autocrosses, camber locks are more necessary. Slipped camber will cause erratic handling and excess tire wear, and may be dangerous if you don't notice it right away.
