Gotti vs Etoile

I always thought that the Gotti company was reincarnated as Etoile wheels and the wheels are the same.

I think it's the other way around. Gotti took over Etoile and then Ronel bought the remaining Gotti stock.

Gotti's were around before Etoile. You'll find Gotti's on Panteras in 15" & 16" sizes, the Etoiles are 17".

I've got 16" & 17" Gotti G-1001's on my Pantera. I bought them from Ronal in 2002. The cast date on the wheels is 07/92. Ronal told me they bought Gotti and all their wheels. They were the last set of this style, size and offset.

Kinesis was supplying Etoile's up to about 2001, something like that.

FWIW, the corporate history of those wheel manufacturers can be explained Biblically: Gotti was the first. Gotti begat Etoile and Etoile begat Kinesis.

I already had some Kinesis wheels and bought the last alleged set of 17" Etoiles sold by PPC from a friend. When I got them I was surprised to find Kinesis stickers on the inner surface of the barely used Etoile wheels. Curious, I called Kinesis and received the news that the principal characters in Gotti created Etoile and then ,similarly, the principals at Etoile went on and formed Kinesis........
