Well my duct tape with the heater hose connections labeled (which one connected to the block/water pump)at the pipes under the console came off during the engine installation. I read some old threads that it does not matter which way you connect the hoses, is this true? I would like to keep it exactly how it came from the factory. Does the driver side pipe connect to the pressed in tube or the water pump?

Thanks

I recently replaced all of my water hoses and the driver side heater hose was connected to the water pump, passenger side to the engine block. Unfortunately, I can't verify that this is the factory hookup, but my car was kept very original and the heater hoses I replaced were Gates green stripe, so it's very likely that they were connected correctly.

Thanks Denis,

I know this is not the correct board but I thought that I would paste some comments people made about our P cars on another site:

----------------------------------------------------------------

1. This car has always baffled me. I can never decide if its gorgeous or freakishly ugly. Nevertheless, definitely frostbitten-finger frozen. Definitely ahead of its time and the rarity of
them makes it all the better.

2. The Pantera is so ridiculously awesome it hurts me.

3. I absolutely love it with that wing on the back .

4. The later ones remind me of the Countach, and I will always love that. Definitely a love or hate thing.

5. Good god, I love it. I always see about 5-10 of them all running in a pack or parked on the side of the road with their hoods open. Good photo opportunity.

6. I see one around the streets of my community occasionally. A few years back I saw him smoke a G35 from a
stop at a light and more recently I saw him outside autozone but I was to shy to walk up to the guy and take
pictures of his car.

7. Sooooooo cool. I don't like the full bodykitted one so much, but the rest are hot/frozen.

8. Its a responsive car during its time, and "pure grunt". Just look at it! Cool

9. Early panteras are much prettier than the faster, later GT5 but they're all maximum cool IMO.

10. Has anyone besides me actually heard a Pantera? They are absolutely unbelievable. One of the coolest
cars ever built, without a doubt.

11. Pantera owners are freaks if one saw this page they could tell you who exactly owns each on in the
photo and who has owned them before them.

12. Yes, there is a guy somewhere around her with one. I saw him at kragen a few months ago and talking to
a guy up the street from me who works on cars. About 4 years ago I was behind him at a light and a G35 Coupe
pulled up the light turned green and it was gone.

pretty good comments .....
I've had nothing but good comments about the car and it always generates a lot of interest. I remember overhearing two guys checking out my car at a local cruise-in. As they looked through the windows and spied the gated shifter, one of them said, Man, can you imagine going through the gears on this thing? Well, we don't have to imagine, do we?
