Ign Tumbler

I have a 74 and I'm having a little problem with my Ignition Key. The switch itself is fine however my Key is getting worn and will only work in one direction (two sided key). I have tryed having new keys made but no luck. The locksmith would like me to bring him the internal guts on the lock. On some cars there is a .070 hole in the face of the cylinder that you can install a paper clip into to remove the tumbler, but not on this one.Has anyone ever pulled out there tumbler assembly and how was it done? Thank's for you're time

Theres a break-away screw that must be drilled out to remove the whole switch from the steering column. Then your locksmith can work with the thing. Some DrySlide lubricant on the locking bolt and the tumblers inside, plus replacing the always-broken internal spring, will fix things good as new.
