installing power door locks

Didnt a few late model Panteras come with power locks ? I think Michael's GT5S has them ... cant be to hard to buy an after market kit.

I've had that system (power door lock thread) in the car four years now and it has worked flawlessly. If I can be of any help let me know.

I bought mine from Summit after trying some of the other CHEAP ones out there that were not strong enough to consistently actuate the lock mechanism.

I have seen a lot of power door locks on the internet and don't want to get someting that doesn't work. If your telling the ones from summit are good thenI I will order them . any one with another opinion.

Sorry, my dauther pushed post before I could check over what I was posting. I looked up{ eletric life power door lock actuators} the power locks summit is selling. I think I'll order them.

I bought the JC Whitney setup but have not done the install as of yet. I did look at the setup while the car was apart going to paint does not look to bad.

just order power locks from summit racing.The power locks from summit look like have more power in them . I hope to do this only one time and some one told me along time -ago not to go with any cheep units. I will let you know how the install goes. If any body has pics of installing them, I would love to see how you did the install.

Installed locks. The door on my 74 had a hole in it . the hole looked like it was put there for door locks maded the installation easy . the instalation still took about 10 hours to do. The directions said it should take 2 hours.

Are you happy with the final product from Summit or would you recommend going a different route for someone looking to do this conversion? Also is the kit you installed a keyless entry system? Thanks.

Yes, very happy with keyless entry system. They cost less from Summit then trying to buy them dirictly from company. will try to post pics very soon.

Could you also please give the specific part number to the kit or a link to Summit for the kit that you purchased? Or did you purchase the Electric-Life 4202-10-910 actuators that ZO6 recommended and piece the rest of the parts together? Thanks again.

yes that was the kit plus you need to buy the remote key looks like that unit comes from chinea but is working good

I have a JC Whitney kit from long ago in the car. No interior switch is needed. Just push or pull the interior door lock handle and the passenger side opens or closes.

I'd like to put the led flashing lock buttons in the car like the Audi and some other cars have even if it instills installing a new alarm/security system?

Anyone here done that yet?
