very little interchanges.the motor mounts and the bellhousing match up to the 429-460.you could get the adapter stuff from the byar bros.or from anybody else who does the big block conversions.some engine parts that do interchange are timing cover, timing chain, dist.,heads, valvecovers, cam, lifters, oil pan, balancer, headers.
I wouldn't recomment using a 351-M under any circumstances. If anything, the identical 400-M would at least give some extra power & torque over a 351. Be aware these blocks are an inch taller & wider than the 351-C, so your exhaust headers won't fit around the rear suspension & gas tank without cutting & welding, the motormounts are the wrong pattern as is the ZF's bell housing. Finally, the M-series engines are low-powered truck engines only distantly related to the Cleveland, so to get back to a power level you had with a 351-C, new pistons, a specific 4bble intake and a good cam & lifters are the basics needed after you totally overhaul the M and manage to get it in your car. IMHO, a 460 is very little more trouble and tons of speed stuff is available. The Byers at PreProformance have all parts necessary, as was mentioned. 550+ streetable horses are certainly possible with this conversion, but 1st gear is utterly useless unless you regear the ZF & mount very wide rear tires & wheels for the monstrous torque available.
