...bought from the factory in the late 70's, genuine Ferrero wheel with the right color and the correct leather wrap...but different Ferrero script signature, different spokes (different holes in the spoke, and spokes appear to be bent (not flat), and not clearly accommodating the original hub). But at least the same recessed leather wrap.

But I have not seen any other place where a 3 spoke Ferrero wood wheel remotely like the Goose was used...Lee1978 factory goose wheel

There are a few differences here, but maybe not unlikely to be from the factory. here is the wheel in 8MA1298, it is dished. Ferrero also did wheels for Fiat, Lancia, Alfa and others. The logo changed later in production. Ferrero was later taken over by Nardi (or Momo) SW 8MA1298

...just looked on Provamo, 1290 seems to be the first car like the 8ma1298 dished wheel with 3 spokes,  with a few leather-wrapped wood wheels in the few cars made after. Every Mangusta  in Houston has the rare, highly desirable wood wheel without the leather wrap ( well, that M!ke and I know of at least) , maybe one out of 20 cars were shipped with the pure wood wheel including 8ma1236 (the Spider replica) and the recent BAT car (8ma1144). The wood wheel  is not simply without the wrap, the wood is reduced to accommodate the thickness of the leather, and the wood envelopes the end of the spoke.

Interesting is 8ma1146, which may have been completely wrapped by the owner.
