long ago, in a galaxy far away, I used to convert classic mustangs to intermitent wipers, it was very easy to do. all I needed was the intermittent wiper switch & intermittent module from a ford of the same year that was equipped with the intermittent wiper option.

Unplugged the wiring harness from the 2 speed switch, replaced the two speed switch with the intermittent switch, mounted the intermitent module under the dash, plugged the intermittent module into the intermittent switch, pluged the car's wiring harness into the intermittent module. Done. 15 minutes.

Didn't have to change motors or anything else.

As Larry wrote, I believe there are aftermarket kits available.

Oh wow! Yes I remember! Ah yes I remember you! The colors, look at all the colors. Wow man!
Those freakin' Klingons. They ruined everything.
Ooops. Did I say all that. Sorry. Past lives and all that you know? Eeker

Actually I was hoping to do it with the stock switch. I don't want to compromise the originality of my car.

I'll look for some kits. Thanks everyone.
Doug,

What I think Jeff thought and meant to say Confused is put an intermittent box hidden behind the dash somewhere powered from say the low speed of the current wiper switch. Then use the spare center console 3 way rocker switch to control the intermittent timing e.g. 1. long time intermittent, 2. short time intermittent 3. full on low speed. No modifications to stock look and minimal to wiring. Unless you want one of those infinitely adjustable imtermittent rheostat type timers... but how much do you actually drive the Pantera in the rain? Or is it a case everyone spits on you from the sidewalk in NY?

Actually Julian has an even better idea! I was suggesting putting in a 3 way switch in the dash where you would have Off | Intermittent(controller under the dash) | Regular Speed.

This assumes a late model dash that has the lighted rocker style wiper switch to the left of the steering wheel.

Better still, here is a plug and play intermittent wiper module made specifically for our 2 speed Lucas motor from a Mini spares supplier stateside.

Good Grief, for $189.95 it should come with a petite 5'2" redhead vixen that sits on the hood, in a yellow polka dot bikini, cleaning the windshield with a microfiber towel.

$189.95 !!!!! Eeker

It's a little more than $81 - we're at bout 2 for 1 at the 'mo, then add your bank charges etc - But yes, still a lot cheaper. FWIW Minispares aren't exactly known for being cheap either.

If anyone does ship one - get the shipper to invoice "warranty spares" or even better "sample" £0 - there's a lot more chance you'll get away without any import taxes.

If anyone can work out the manufacturer, i'll be happy to dig and find a cheaper source.
I'll help with shipping too if you like?

Phil
