Re: Mangusta rubber parts

Finding good-fitting rubber parts for the Mangusta seems to remain a hit/miss project for everyone (especially for the rear!!) so thought I'd post at least one find that appears like a good replacement. My original engine cover bumpers were mostly destroyed on removal b/c of corrosion on the M5 threads, and there is nothing to 'grab' except the rubber portions, which quickly tear. These new bumpers have an appropriate 19mm OD, and will need trimming to length (all cars will probably be a bit different...and for that matter all four corners could be different) but the16mm height should be tall enough for all locations.

Fairly easy to Google sources for this specific part, but finding similar bumpers from a different manufacturer has been fruitless. I never discovered the original source for Mangusta 'wing' bumpers (Fiat/Lancia/etc?) and have abandoned that approach finally

Nate, you may be as close as anything--if the ones I bought from a Lancia Fulvia are the right ones, it would be the first time I've found -any- Lancia part that was used on a Goose... https://www.lanciavintage.net/...od-dowel-fulvia.html

M!ke, at least the ones I bought for Fulvia were all wrong (!) But for count;

- (2) under the hood, adjustable style like this. I am using Pantera replacements, the shape is close.

- (4) in the engine covers (one each next to the guide pin). None adjustable. Getting something that is a perfect match here is still ahead of me...but I've got something that works and looks close. The pic shows ~12mm high, these will set the gaps in the bodywork and also calibrate the position of the 4 latch pins...

The only other bumpers I can think of are then the wedges for the doors--and at least, most Mangustas are easy to find (shared with Alfa and I think Pantera, an asymetrical pattern), but mine on 8ma1076 were significantly smaller and solved on a 'chance buy" advertised on ebay.it as an OSI Fiat 1200...
