I just bought a 1972 Pantera L with a GT5 Body kit. I would like to know if anyone makes or knows of a Mod Motor swap kit? This may have been discussed before, but I am fairly new to the forum.

I should clarify that he offers a full 4.6L modular engine/install kit. He does not offer the kit without the engine, as far as I know.

Last time I was a Wilkinson's place he told me that he a few BMW 4.4 V8 engines that he was trying to unload.

I am installing the DeTomaso homologated 4.6 DOHC kit sold by Steve Wilkinson. Steve worked with Santiago DeTomaso and FORD to do this. It is the engine installed in the Guara and Qvale (DeTomaso in Europe) Mangusta.
Steve had the engine California ARB certified and had to produce certification data including hp/torque curves. The engine is a beauty and is set up for 345-365 hp depending on the version purchased.

I looked into the Hyland motor in the spring of 2006. I had them measure the motor as it was sitting in their show room. It was too tall for my tastes. I don't remember the exact height but it seems it was more than just a few inches above the decklid. Check out KarKraft for a full line of carbed motors too. They have dual quad, tri-power, and quad as well as a stack system. I wound up going with the fuel injected, dry sump, aluminum 5.4 motor from the Ford Racing catalog. Sullivan makes carb intakes for the modular motors.
