I own a GT5-S, and I am curious about the market value of these cars. I've seen some people asking big prices for the GT5-S cars. But asking price is not always the same as Selling price. Can you tell me how much you sold your GT5-S for? Thanks.

Is this one sold ? ... gives a realistic idea ...

Apparently he doesn't want to say how much he sold his GT5-S for. I don't know what the big secret is. After all, it just a car. It's not like I was asking him his personal income or anything. Being that there are so few GT5-S's out there, it would have been useful for the Pantera community to learn about market trends for the GT5-S; Both for potential buyers that may be interested to buy a GT5-S, and for current GT5-S owners considering selling- providing them a real market gauge as to how much they might fetch for their car. I know Peter likes to track this stuff. But oh well. I guess if he chooses to be an outlier, that's his prerogative.

did i Big Grin

look, a few Thousand $ less or more depends ofcourse condition car , and the deal, how hard the buyer wants to go or the seller wants to let go... the latest discussion where we see GT5S for sale in the 200K € region are just BS.
Perhaps within 10 years ? Smiler

Well said.
there is also something as respect for the buyers privacy....where in the world does the Detomaso family have the feeling to have the right to know everything ! If you own a GT5S , sell him ... if you want one , buy one . Then you will know.
Sorry, i tryed always to be a bit on the humour side, which is not allowed/accepted here. I have respect for the knowlegde and professionelism here, i learned alot, but it did not give me a "home" feeling. I do honestly prefer other sites with my other cars... sorry.
Your house sold price is available, new car prices, clothes, vacation prices, etc are all available.
Nobody feels they have the right to know your business. They are just asking for a better knowledge of actual selling prices of a rare car.
Helps both buyers and sellers, IMHO.
All the best.

all the best to you to Will... but let me vent something : you are here so eminent present , but nowhere on the intro of my 2 latest cars , BMW CSL and Morgan GTN.... it's your full right , but doesn't give me a "friends" enviroment feeling... and i don't need congrats, congrats etc.. appreciate more a personal reaction !

Can i be more more specific to ask if the 150k GT5S is sold here ? Seems the same car to me...
I am on the fence on this one, yes it's nice to know sales prices, but that alone doesn't dictate market value.

Location, both seller and buyers motivation etc. all come into it. If Barry found someone locally who just had to have his car and that person was loaded with money he might pay well over what others consider market value.

I know of GT5S cars that sold recently for under $100K, I know of GT5S cars priced at $140-150K that have not sold.

Go follow the Ferrari market on F-chat. Prices are constantly debated, shared, and offered. Everyone that owns a collector car is interested in the market for our babies. I get tired frankly of reading what "hagerty" thinks our cars are worth and like to hear the real numbers.

sharing of data is a key to a stronger market for our cars.

Just my 2 cents, but I also respect buyer / seller confidentiality totally.
