To remove the fuel tank requires the engine AND transaxle be removed, a fairly involved job for one person. aAe you sure the tank is really that bad? Minor pinholes can be plugged with a sheet-metal screw covered with plain-vanilla Bondo, which is utterly fuel-proof. I had one in my tank (self-inflicted) in 1999.... fixed this way, it has yet to leak.But if you're really set on pulling it, see Mike Dailys website (www.panteraplace.com) for a pictorial on the many steps necessary to do this.
