Looking good Kristian. Progress is progress, even if it's slow. Keep pushing forward, and keep posting pics.
Who made the billet cross members? Nice pieces! I've never seen those.
The crossmembers are from Mark Johnson - IPSCO.
They are made to my specific measurements - I think I payed $75 each. They are very solid pieces.
He also made me an adjustable top bar that bottoms out in the tower pocket walls with the right angle (22.5 degrees I think)- again to my specific measurements.

Hi Kristian
This will be a very nice looking car
I'm also curious about the crossmembers, what messurements does he need? Do you have his email?

Scroll down and check the pictures he put there of one of my crossbars.
It's the framespacing that may vary, i.e.; the length of the crossmembers - he has some std measurements but they didn't fit for my car. Early cars are a little different, mine about 7-8 mm narrower, so check before ordering.

RE crossmember widths, I'd be surprised if any Panteras had identical widths. Frame flex coupled with movement of the upper frame rails and accompanying camber gain, popped spot welds, even large upper camber bar adjustments, will all cause the measurements to vary.
Cutting the original crossmember(s) loose can be done with the engine/ZF in place, but it's incredibly messy and dangerous as you're directly below the cut area with a powerful Sawzall... My son did one Pantera at a CA Tech Session and it took nearly 4 hours, plus a looong shower to clean up afterwards. A safer, neater job results if the engine and ZF are out. Just a thought....

Looking great Kristian!! Congrats on getting the engine in!

Looks great! I realize that there is no decklid and little interior, but it sits kinda high like 1362 did before I removed the spring spacers. Now my rear lower control arms are almost parallel to the ground. Bill 1362
Yes, it is a concern - this is not good. I bought the height adjustable Aldans, and still, in their lowest position it sits like this. It has been settling in a little since these pictures were taken, however, I was expecting that I could adjust it all the way down - to where a pantera is supposed to sit.
Including fluids, I'll be putting another 400-500 lbs on it before it's done, so maybe that will help. Maybe I just need to get it on the road for the suspension with all the new parts to settle properly - I hope so !!
