Puttting on the NEW rear lenses and the cleaned logos makes so much for the looks. Cant have shabby parts on the new paint.

Next item to put on the car. Delivered to UPS today. A good old Hall 180.

Looks nice and I love the sound at 5500 rpms! Be sure you put up a decklid heat-shield on stand-off mounts before running them hard. It's possible to CHAR paint in two spots on the decklid about a foot in dia on each side, from the heat coming off those pipes!

I've got those headers too.(a later version) I think that the only solution to them is to get then cermacoated. This way it is possible to run a modified trunk liner without it catching fire!

If you are running a little lean those headers will glow red?

Started work on the bracket to hold the silencers.

I'm not sure if I'm satisfied with this piece that holds the clamp. Will finnish it up and see. Will at least weld shut the hole in the back.

Decided it was good enough, and polished it. Now, it seems like I will need to polish a few more items in the enginecompartment to match this piece.

A good color is so hard to find, I went crazy finding the right yellow for mine. I wound up with 7 coats of "Smart" car and 4 coats of gold pearl 3 coats clear. Best of luck and again it looks great.

If you think about the panel around the dampers, I made it myself (a sandwich construction to be stiff) that bolts to the holes the original mesh used. The cutouts, I dont know about yet. Will need to think about that for a while.

No. They are typical dampers used by the Supra-tuner-drifter-guys. It has a detachable insert that gives it allmost free flow when no silencing is needed..

Started work on some side scoops. Plan not to loose all the visibility you do with the carbon type, so they will be made in lexan, and have attachment for a 4" hose to rout the air. Will have an opening of 2". This is just a test, and the plug will be made much nicer to get good looking parts. As you can see in the red sircle further down, all imperfections in the plug show after vacum is applied.

Scoop. Still no opening, but you get it.

Mock up of scoop on car. Dirty parts give much bad reflections, but in reality it looks quite good, and doest stand out as much as a colored piece will.
