Hello all, looking for some help.I just installed a demon 650 double pumper on my pantera and need some advice. The car had a big Holly on it when I bought it but an engine fire had ruined the carb. It had a funky homemade adapter to connect the pantera cable to the Holley throttle. This adapter does not fit the demon correctly. No matter how I hook it up I can't get more than 3/4 throttle opening because of the short pull of the pantera cable.Has anyone run into this problem? Is there a company that sells a workable solution?Has anyone made an adapter, linkage, throttle thing that I can copy?Any help or Ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

Wait a minute. It seems that in all the pictures the factory over the cable throttle spring is removed.Am I correct in assuming this permits more pedal/cable travel? I'm having interferance problems with the manifold when I try to lenghten the "throw" of the linkage, and if removing the spring allows more travel it will simplify things greatly.
Okay, I stared at my linkage for an hour before I slapped myself for not thinking simple. I slightly bent the manifold mounted cable holder and connected the cable directly to the lowest hole on the carb throttle.Worked great but only gave me about half throttle. I then went under the dash and backed off the throttle pedal stop till I had full throttle.Works well and looks factory. It took 15 minutes. The cable pulls straight and I even added a outside mounted return spring for safety. After agonizing for two nights I feel dumb that it was this simple.
