Has anyone tried the volvo 700-900 brake conversion for the Pantera, and what was the result? I know that POCA described the conversion in one of their newsletters, but i cant find it. Can anyone help me with this. Thanks
The Jan '98 issue of the POCA newsletter described Tomas Gunnarson's conversion using ventillated Volvo roters. This was in response to a description of my conversion using ventillated Porsche 911 rotors. Volvos are more common than 911s in Swedish wrecking yards. Both conversions used stock calipers initially; the various ventillated roters are identical in OD & thickness but require an adapter'hat' to be fabricated. Being stock thickness means they are NOT racing rotors, which need more mass to deal with very high heat loads from racing.
