The Jan '98 issue of the POCA newsletter described Tomas Gunnarson's conversion using ventillated Volvo roters. This was in response to a description of my conversion using ventillated Porsche 911 rotors. Volvos are more common than 911s in Swedish wrecking yards. Both conversions used stock calipers initially; the various ventillated roters are identical in OD & thickness but require an adapter'hat' to be fabricated. Being stock thickness means they are NOT racing rotors, which need more mass to deal with very high heat loads from racing.
