Still looking guys !
I even contacted the dealer with the blue Targa in Belgium. It’s the first Targa but not a GT5-S. I would even considered it but the windshield is delaminating, rubber around the top is partially gone and the car from pics looks like it could really use paint. 🙁

I am still looking for that GT5-S !!

I don’t know anything about the condition of the blue targa. But having had some experience with the seller of that car, I can confirm he’s very honest and easy to work with. I suspect he’d welcome a ‘3rd party inspection’, if you wanted, to get another unbiased in person assessment of the paint condition (in addition to Simon’s).

That Targa conversion was done right to, all factory sheet metal, not like many of the US conversions that use the hand formed patch panels on the fenders. IMO with some OEM Campi's on, it would really start to look the part and still has the provenance of being the first Pavesi Targa.

Guys, I can tell you this, I have talked to them about the issues  I have with the car. For starters the windshield, I don’t know if you have ever installed a flush mounted windshield but I have. The windshield needs to be removed and the the new flush mount has to be fitted into that opening. The opening on this has probably been changed due to the fact that being a Targa and the post have been reworked and probably resized and reshaped. That means more reshaping of the opening and that can’t be done without metal work, filling and paint. That means painting completely around the windshield and hoping you can get a color match. Even in the pics I can see that the painted inner fender wells are scratched up up probably from seating the targa top on them.
I can also see some issues with paint chips around the car also. If I can see these in pictures I don’t need a third party inspection. That tells me I am looking at a complete paint job. By the way, where do you get on line to order the new rubber around the Targa opening ? The car is rare and has potential but  just doing that can involve a lot of work. I really wasn’t looking for a project but for a nice GT5-S !

Thanks but Iam looking for a nice GT5-S

Larry , I dont agree with you about the windshield , the opening is not been changed . Also not agree about your other comments. There are no new Targa rubbers availabel, I have owned a few Targa's and still has 2 , and all have different hand made rubbers.

The scratces on the rear inner fender came from the fiberglas trunk tube .

The Targa roof is hanging under the rear deck lid.

All Pantera's Targa's are converted by Pavesi by hand.

I respect your opinion , but please dont brake down a car or write BS about this Pantera  which you anyway dont want to buy.

Regards

Simon
