There are conversion kits available to replace the fuse box with one that uses modern fuses. Just an FYI.

at one time there were glass fuses for our car manufactured by Buss, but they were discontinued years ago. You can still find them on eBay.

If you want to get away from those fuses, you could buy the a new fuse panel from Jon Hass @ Pantera Electronics.  IT is a direct replacement of your old panel.  Larry
