My car arrived at PI Motorsports today. Dave called to tell me that the damage isn't as bad as they originally thought (when they saw photos) and there is no way the car will be totaled.

I think this is awesome news. Sure, I could buy something else if it was totaled, but it wouldn't be the same.

So, this is my celebratory thread. More info as they dig deeper into the car.

I know exactly how you feel. If it was a new Mercedes two-seater, please total it so I can buy a new one. But not my Pantera.

Uhhhhhh, white?

Smiler

I spent some time looking at other cars in case my car turned out to have real damage. I thought about getting another Pantera, but there aren't a lot of widebody cars out there and I knew it would be a wait to find the right car. I really want a Nissan Skyline GTR R34, but they are too expensive and difficult to register (they are all grey-market). I was looking at a Ferrari 355, but don't want the maintenance worries. Muscle cars don't have the style I am currently looking for. I was thinking an early Diablo might be a good fit...

Luckily, I don't think I will need to solve the above problem...which is good, because I think it is impossible. I just want MY car back.
