Bouncing Speedo

It's usually caused by a dry cable or too tight a bend in the cable.

I'll give the speedo cable a good grease up, but what is the best way to get it out.
Take the dash out or what!

DEFINITELY don't take the dash out! Working anywhere under the dash takes some contorting, but you can reach up behind the speedo and unscrew the cable. It should be only hand tight. The other end on the ZF is easy. My cable went along the bottom of the console, through a hole in the bottom of the firewall. Yours is a newer model, so I'm not sure. I've been told graphite is the lubricant of choice.

I did this to my Sunbeam a few years back and after a few miles a big lump of warm grease landed on my knee! The cable is like an Archimedes screw and pumped all the excess grease out of the top of the cable and all over me!
So don't put too much in!

Mine bounces too. Looks like another thing added to my winter 'hit list'!
