Pantera #6114 - aka Pantera 7X, aka Ghia Montella; owner info wanted

I just went and looked up the pics of this beast you talk of. Wow ! that is quite a change.
I must say the bumpers look awesome ! they actually look like they were made to be there !
Pity they never made it to our cars !

It sold at auction two?? years ago in Monterey for about $100K, if memory serves me right.

Do not know the new owner.

It was the concept car - Pantera 7X - as it would return the Pantera to the Ford lineup sometime in the '70's - 77? 78? thus the 7X - but of course it died in the bean counters office.

I saw it through the fencing at the RM display that year in Monterey. Would love to have it in my garage - very nice look and feel with the concept design.

Thanks for the picture. I've never seen it before. The Pantera 7X has a striking resemblance to a Bricklin, especially the front end don't you think? Not bashing the car, I like Bricklins.

Roger, if you haven't already checked, there is a good writeup on this car on Chuck's ProvaMo Pantera Registry. Doesn't give the present owners' name but does mention a previous owners' name. Lots of good pixs and history. Good Luck!

It is currently owned by an Italian architect. He is a friend of Tom Tjaarda, who helped him restore the car to it´s original specification. Tom said in the july´s Classic and Sports Car magazine, that they are planning to drive it to the Goodwood Festival of speed, this summer.
