just finished reassembly of my drivers door, new glass, felts weatherstrips, removed and cleaned glass run, replaced regulator (THANX YOU DENNIS ).,motor works fine,......the glass seems to fit tightly, making the window move slowly, is it just that the factory motors dont have enough torque , or are there other adjustments that i am missing?.................THANX..........DAVE

The shape of the glass max's out the motors with new weatherstripping. As long as the windows go all the way to the top, you're ahead of the game.

If you are refering to the Ford Windstar motors in place of the Pantera ones I am very suspicious of that modification.
I own several Fords with power windows and I will tell you that the quality of the motors that Ford uses is very, not good.
Now having said that, in a side by side comparison test they infact may be 100 times better ther the Pantera motor I suppose.
You computer guys know the expresion, "crap in, crap out"?
I replaced window motors all the time in my body shop. i belive the Areostar motors are as good as any. This was one of the first mods i made on my car. It was easy and they go up fast. The old motors would stop part way up, and you would have to wait and then raise them more untill they finally closed. It is a good mod. I even used ...used junkyard motors. If they fais..no big deal to replace.
