The heater control valve in my Pantera had been replaced with a valve from Hall Pantera when I purchased the car. This valve is the same as the valve sold by Vintage Air. It flows too much coolant, I just crack it and it gets too hot. If I run the a/c at the same time, I can normally find a setting that works, but the adjustment is still very touchy, as it is just cracked open a very small amount. Running the a/c is necessary anyway to control fogging of the windows.

I've heard the same complaints about the oem valve too, that it was none or too much.

I've not read of a good resolution for this problem. I have a few in mind that I will experiment with some time in the future.

Thanks to all. It sounds like the core should flow like a river then. I must have a mouse stuck in mine.. No flow... I hooked a waterhose up to one end and no water passed through the core with the valve in any position, (done manually). Since I may not get this fixed before leaving for Las Vegas, would everyone please pray for it to STOP RAINING!!
