I contacted Marvic last September. I copied his response below for anyone interested:

Dear Tim,
Thank you for the interest shown in our production.

Our Pantera GTS wheels are perfect replica of the original ones and they are produced by sand casting in magnesium alloy, as in period. Attached the technical drawing for your checking.
More details are available here http://www.marvic.it/en/prodotto/pantera-gts/

DE TOMASO GTS 10 " x 15" € 1.550,00
Prices are per unit, without VAT, ex-works.
Please note that the price is the same for both version (with short or long ribs – see online pictures).

Delivery: about 6 weeks.
Payment: 40% at the order - balance before shipment when the wheels are ready.

We’d be ready to supply the wheels through a dealer located in New Jersey.

Do not hesitate to come back for further needs.

Looking forward to hearing from you, we remain with kindest regards

The Marvic price equates to $1666 a wheel + shipping, given that 40 year old originals with all the risks of 40 years wear are selling for north of $4K a pair that is a great price.

It would make sense for a number of people to get together for a group buy if there is enough demand and thus spread the shipping cost, perhaps even negotiate a discount?

I have the 10 x 15 two slot campagnolo rears from Andrea at Roin technologies, I think they are fine, in fact my original 8 x 15 on the front although period spoil the look of the car so I am in the process of purchasing a set of 8s also. Andrea speaks English so found the whole process very easy, he even sent me additional paint so I could match my existing. I am away at the moment and not back with my car until Friday but I will be able to post some pics of the wheels if you would like.
Richard.
Thanks Richard.
Will contact then too. Curious, are you replacing your fronts because of mismatch or just look of old versus new.

Another issue for all to comment on, this is going to sound odd but I haven't seen my car in person yet so am working from pics. Looks like the the Roin and the Marvic wheels have a rib over the windows and over the slots. Mine do not?? Car is 1973. Is this different model or year of production - or are mine not originals as claimed?? Mystery to me.

Thanks for the education.
Think this rib is only on the 10s, must be strengthening for the additional width, I think the original 10s had this also you will not have this on 7s and 8s.
The reason for going to all new is purely on looks, also the original 8s are quite rough castings and I have not had good results in trying to smooth out with fillers! And I suppose for reliability, but then again my car is not stock but I love the look of the campi wheels.
Just be aware we are talking two different wheels here; the Roin wheels are great quality although an aluminum alloy, whereas the Marvic are made to original spec and magnesium alloy. The Marvic will be lighter for the same wheel and they offer the 10's with short or long ribs per original design.

I believe it is the Roin aluminum alloy wheels that Mr Fiat carries;

$1,405 for a 10" or they also offer a 17" dia. in 11" and 9" widths to suit more modern rubber availability.

Hi All.
Thanks for all the info.
Still undecided but here is what I found so far.
Current Roin direct price 10x15= 850 per wheel, 8x15 750 per wheel Euros. As mentioned, aluminum wheel with good definition, smoother finish than original. Current Marvic price 1550 euros per wheel. Magnesium seem like original look a like. Both claim 4-6 week delivery after order. Marvic has dealer in NJ, yoyodyne, for their cycle parts but will handle car wheel orders and consolidate shipping to save on those costs. Spoke to yoyo asking if he knew any way to speed up delivery. Told him Marvic said six weeks. His response was that those were Italian weeks, not necessarily consecutive weeks.
Math says you can get 4 Roins for price of 2 Marvics.
From pics, both seem to have better definition than the 17"available from several on line vendors at about $2200 - $2500 per set of 4.
As always appreciate opinions and feedback.
Hi Rix, I have made the same enquiries to Marvic and the prices you quoted are less tax, i would have to pay an additional 22% plus shipping at another €200 so a full set of Marvic rims would be in excess of €7000. So I am going to keep my heavy alloy ones and purchase a set of Roin 8s to match, these will be €1500 + tax + delivery. So to make up for the additional weight I am going to go on a diet or drive around in just my boxer shorts!
