i am looking to buy a car i can jump in, drive, and or mod to my hearts content. i have had over 140 cars, and my gut tells me this is not one to cut up like i would. coming from Ferrari and older Lambos, this is a great, fast car. i think i am addicted, but i want a later GTS or GT5, in black. ( i hate red!, ask the Ferrari guys...)

thanks.

oh yes, i can arrange a local Pre Purchase Inspection at the buyers expense at Andy Green Racing in Pooler Georgia (912 748 5737). car is not registered or insured, so it will need to be towed .

the ad was just posted, geeze you guys are tough !

Smiler

vin is *1355*

to save me and everyone else the hassle, i will NOT take less than $35k for it, period. otherwise i am going to cut it up an modify it like a i would any camaro or trans am. its just a car to me.

my guns and guitars i get attached to.

cars i do not.

best.
i am not interested in selling it outside of the USA. too many Lamborghini's and Ferrari's are going overseas never to be seen again by Americans. i am not going to to sell this car to any overseas buyer.

nothing personal.

as far as " offers " go i will not take less than $35,000 for it. otherwise it will go on the net for 90 days and then be chopped and modified as i see fit.

I think the export is more of a market factor; thanks to US policymakers the US$ is in the doghouse compared to other currencies, hence cars here are attractive to out of country buyers.

I was talking to a Canadian friend and he said the past year has shown the largest number of cars in general going across the border into Canada. The CAD$ is now basically 1:1 for the US$ and a US$50K car is CAD$50K, whereas only 3-4 years ago it would have been ~CAD$70K.

When I lived in Australia the oposite was true and the US$ was strong, so strong in fact that US muscle cars were being re-exported back to the US!
I must also agree the attitude of some people, who won't sell outside of their 'zone' is disapointing.
Luckily everyone is not like that.
I reguarly buy things from other countries, and it makes you realise just how small the world now is.
However quite often when I buy off non professional people, they get the ' all to hard attitude' .
Luckily the seller of my new Pantera, had his eyes wide open. Another Pantera I looked at had the attitude of not selling outside his zone, his loss.
Sorry for the rant, but I do get upset over these forms of discimination.
HI ALL. Just my thought's of selling a car oversea's. It seem's to me that although some people would rather not sell their car's to oversea's buyer's to keep the car's in the U.S. there are other's [probably the majority] that would rather not get involved with the logistic's of exporting the car to a oversea's buyer. First and foremost to the seller would be the payment for the car [ receiving / confirming / cashing / exchange rate's / extra charge's levied / transport to exporting dock etc] before even letting the car out of their sight [expecially with fraudulant payment's etc. that seem so rampant today]
Second i think would be the language barrier that could easily be mis-interpereted by either party as to car description
condition price etc. [Especially if dealing with someone who hasn't even seen / driven the car in person]
Dealing with problem's with an un-satisfied oversea's buyer[for what ever reason]after sale and delivery could easily turn out to be a real P.I.T.A. for both party's. I PERSONALLY feel that it would be a lot easier to sell in the U.S.A. [sorry to all oversea's enthusiast's] especially as local as possible so that any potential buyer's could come see / drive the car for themselve's and have all the [first hand information] needed to make an informed decision. Or at the very least have the car checked out by other TRUSTED KNOWLEDGEABLE PANTERA ENTHUSIAST'S and even then [if the car seem's to be what you are looking for]if possible check out the car in person. Let's face it these are not cheap car's and they are prone to some problem's here and there [some worse than other's] In conclusion do your home work / know what you are looking for / at determine what level of skill's you have to do the repair's that may be needed now or in the for seeable future[un-less you are going to out source the work $$$] and factor into your decision.
