Scott, Try a search for pushbutton pantera, Find Allen Morris's site. I know he moved his to the front and speaks of how not to give up on pushing the hoses through the right threashold. I'll look for a link. Here it is! pushbuttons@smartstoreinc.com Uh OO! Looks like his site is offline. You on your own again.

Yes Mark, it's 6808, I'll look up the part numbers tonight, and take close up picks for you.

Thanks Mark, I too would like to see more pictures. I see one line under the car. I assume that is the line that goes to the compressor. What about the line that goes from the Drier to the Evaporator, does it also run under the car? Or is ther a shorter route?

Scott

Actually Scott, there is one on either side of the cooling tubes, running all the way back to the compressor.

FYI

At least one of the vendors sells a kit for doing this conversion. However the kit I've seen supplies rubber hose for all the new plumbing. The metal tube that Mark installed for the long run from compressor to condensor is a much better way to do it.

Of course, that larger condensor supplied with a better flow of cool air is going to hot rod the a/c system peformance. I'll be doing this too someday, because I want to install a flat bottom trunk tub.

your friend on the DTBB
I will be doing this conversion in the next couple of weeks. I am putting in a Superflow Parallel condensor from Vitage Air. I am told that with the new condensor it should perform as well as R12 even with R134a. The cost for the condensor is $149. I am getting Barrier hoses made up from a local supplier. Cost should be around $100. New Drier, about $50. I am also going to run the hard line under the car like Mark did...
Your doing the right thing Scott, I'm a big fan of COLD a/c. I run a oversize aluminun parralel cross flow with a sanden compressor from MAP. The compressoer kit came with mounting bracket and it was a snap. I was able to use my existing lines with new ends. However I have kept my condenser in the rear with twin fans. Up front you will be pulling hotter air into the radiator. Thats ok if...you have enough cooling capacity. Like an AL radiator.
