Wes,

I've not heard any scuttle-butt about an inherent problem with Fluidyne radiators leaking. The cores are furnace brazed & the tanks TIG welded, as far as I know (I'm not running a Fluidyne radiator). They shouldn't be prone to leakage. Properly installed & maintained, the aluminum radiator should last a long time.

A radiator must be rubber mounted, so the car can flex without flexing the radiator. You should also run 50% coolant that is compatible with aluminum & 50% DISTILLED water. Never use tap water. Reverse osmosis water is good too. A corrosion preventative like RedLine Water Wetter or RM25 is a good idea as well.

A good radiator shop can repair leaks, even in aluminum radiators. However, if the radiator has been installed properly, and you're running acceptable coolant, I would be inclined to give Fluidyne a phone call and ask about their warrantee.

best of luck, George
Thanks for the response...I was running distilled water with water wetter for quite a while. Temp always stayed at a good level with that mixture. I bought the water in a supermarket...Don't think it was the fluid that did it...I know it's out of warranty so I will take it to a local radiator shop and see what they say. I will post an update after they look at it.
