Love GTVs. Truly, the Cromodoras set it off nicely too. Great car.

Remarkable. Such timeless lines. Gosh this thread has been/is fun to watch!
Joules, could you please adopt me for a weekend of track time!?!?

and of course there's this thing.
Always love seeing Mark's cars.
Including the one I'll always refer to as 'mine'!
I have to say that Chris Wilson's E-Type really is sublime. I think Julian would easily win the "combined top-speed" challenge by a fair margin. There hasn't yet been a car posted that I would park behind the barn.
Which brings me to request that Mr Hudson posts some photos of his amazing cars. I know the collection has been thinned out but there are still some impressive rides tucked away in mid-town Montgomery. How about some sharing Adams?
To entice you, here's a photo of "your" Mangusta.

... and speaking of people who really should post some pictures of their "other" cars... How about you Simon? I think some people here would really appreciate what you have hidden away.

Below is a picture of a vintage high-performance aluminum-bodied vehicle in my collection.
Features of the 1969 Airstream Overlander include walnut paneling, full bath and two bedrooms. When motivated by its Disco tow vehicle it can achieve 0-60 mph by the next Rest Stop. Braking performance is similar.

Hi Mark,
I am already glad that I can keep my cell Phone into the air , I am not so handy to place photo's on this site.
Simon
At Simon's request, I am posting these for him. He has a collection that includes MANY De Tomaso cars including a few GT5-S and Targas, along with a beautifully restored Mangusta and a Longchamp GTS. Enjoy!

Here's my present car. Somewhat inconspicuous, but it's actually an 11 second quater mile car with handling to match most supercars.
2013 Subaru BRZ with tubocharger, methanol injection, standalone ECU (similar to Motec) and wheels and tires as big as a lot of Panteras.
I'm hopefully getting a Pantera race car soon, so this baby is up for sale right now, only 5000 miles on it!

Simon's car collection is unbelievable. It's got to be one of the most impressive and extensive collection of DeTomaso's in the world. You've got some other rare and beautiful cars there too Simon. Thanks for sharing those photos. Wow.
Hi ADOBERETREAT, thanks for the nice words.
But there is for sure one or two another DeTomaso Collectors into Germany who have more DeTomaso's than me.

ha! Great looking shots Mark. Loving the Mangusta, thanks for keeping it for me! Excuse my huge delay in responding, but just moved into 'new' garage. Dear Lord, why did I EVER keep 8,000 totally unusable parts, obscure tools, and useless lengths of wire, unmatable screws and nuts...
Anyway, stuff is finally 'in place' but much more sorting and work required. My 'new to me' place is about 50 miles from old place, now nearer where we live on Lake Martin.
Here are a couple of poor photos...

I was thinking the R8 would be a great year round driver up here. Throw some blizzaks on there and let her rip in the snow!!
Great interior in that car too

Saw 2 R8's in Sweden last winter, knee deep in snow.

Looks great Adams...my wife likes the R8 but that has been put on hold since my last purchase (from you). Take care of the Audi and let me know if/when you get tired of that one!

Tell your poor suffering wife I'll trade the FGT for the R8 straight up!
Actually called the Ford dealer today about some new car they're building.
Honestly, the R8 is the finest piece of equipment I've ever owned. No kidding. Fabulous exhaust note appeals to my inner redneck. The thing is screwed together pretty well too.
Thumbs up on the R8 fellas
Not 100% sold on the styling of the R8, but more than 100% sold on the engineering. In regards to mid-engine sports cars, the R8 replaced the NSX in terms of a logical/rational choice. Whatever the Asians had done, the Germans did better.

George, most people are extreme car guys. I think there is a legitimate call for an "Other Car" section. Most people here have interest in a variety of cars and interest. Some interest are not even car related. Just my .02c.
